„Tracing Belonging – Tambdi mati“ – a continuous transdisciplinary artistic exploration of video, collage, audio recordings, drawings and animations that merges my personal family history, questions of identity and belonging. It leads me to reflect on how these questions of preservation and archiving of knowledge, stories and memories have been dealt with in
the past and to become more personal- within my own ancestral lineage. I am interested to dig
deeper into these approaches with another of my artistic methodologies of “Annähern” – Drawing
closer – allows me to slowly and carefully move closer to the ancestral home(s) of my paternal family.
